This year's theme is, "Breastfeeding: A Key to Sustainable Development." It is about, "how breastfeeding is a key element in getting us to think about how to value our wellbeing from the start of life, how to respect each other and care for the world we share." World Breastfeeding Week is coordinated by the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA), which works to protect, promote and support breastfeeding worldwide. Wildwood Pediatrics would like to thank our lactation consultants for the wonderful care they provide for those mothers who breastfeed. Their dedication, support and care to our families is truly amazing, and 'second to none'.
Our lactation consultants are in the office Monday through Friday and provide care to families that cover all aspects of breastfeeding. Whether it is a courtesy prenatal appointment, an appointment immediately after a baby is born, or an appointment for concerns that may include pumping, returning to work, supplementation, weaning, etc., they are here to help in all aspects that concern breastfeeding.
